Welcoming New Faculty – Anastasios Konstantakos, MD, FACS

Please join us in welcoming Anastasios Konstantakos, MD, FACS, as a new faculty member in the Department of Surgery.

Anastasios Konstantakos, MD, FACS
Associate Surgeon, Division of Cardiac Surgery 

Dr. Konstantakos graduated from the University of Miami, where he also obtained his medical degree. He completed a general surgery residency at the Case Western Reserve University, a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and a fellowship and staff position in advanced adult cardiac surgery at the Brigham.  

He is board certified in general and thoracic surgery, and he is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Before returning to the Brigham, he worked for the MercyHealth Hospital System as a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Dr. Konstantakos’ clinical and research interests include minimally invasive valve surgery, complex mitral valve repair, complex coronary revascularization, aortic surgery, reoperative cardiac surgery, cardiac oncology, surgery for cardiac arrhythmias, and patient outcomes and satisfaction.
